Addictions

Addictions are quite complicated. There is a whole range of addictions, varying from a 'phase' to something most people would classify as a 'tragedy'. But when can something be actually considered to be bad?

I admit that I easily get addicted to things (not like drugs and alcohol and stuff). An example would be when I find a new game. Usually, I wouldn't be quite interested in games, nor do I want to be interested, since I know for a fact that I can develop an addiction to playing said game. However, when I do take a liking to a certain game, I would not stop until I actually finish the game (or be the richest player in terms of online games). And people would consider this addiction of mine to be pretty bad. But I have to say, you can actually tell when an addiction is bad. It's as if something has consumed your time, to which would lead to disruptions in your lifestyle (or studies or work), then it may possibly affect you in the future. But the question is will this really matter in a few years time and will this actually help me?

The reason I'm talking about this right now is due to the mere fact that I started playing Diablo III (yes, I know that game was released a long time ago. it was on sale okay). During the weekend, I haven't gotten any work done and I might as well have been ignoring my friends. So yeah, people consider it to be bad. But as small as the situation is, it's actually pretty difficult to get someone to withdraw out of something they're so used to or they love doing. I recently had a caffeine overdose and people have been trying to get me to stop drinking coffee, and I know it may not seem much, but it's pretty difficult for me. Coffee has been part of my every day routine, the caffeine calming me down and allowing me to think more efficiently, yet it's 'killing me slowly', as some of my friends stated. If your friend or anybody you know has a coffee addiction, don't just make them stop. Try to maybe watch how much coffee they drink and (maybe) try to lessen their drinking because honestly, just abruptly stopping someone can be hard for the other person.

Anyways, sorry for that little mess. I've been feeling edgy and uneasy lately and I just can't seem to calm myself. Because you have read my rambling, dear friend, here is the song Robbers by The 1975 and um, yeah, thank you for your time and have a lovely week.

Change

Whether they'd be good or bad, change is something that would eventually happen. People would change, and so would you. You could change into someone you always wanted to be- someone with respect and confidence, feeling happy for whatever is given. You could also change into someone you'd never thought you'd be. That would all depend on you. You have the choice to change, so just ask yourself "Would it be for the best?"

So. I'm back. Yeah. My last post went up on February. I obviously haven't made a lot of progress since then. I've come up with some playlists and such, but I never got the actual time to sit down and think about what I'm doing, whether it'd be just about this blog, stuff at school, or some other things. I suppose promising to update would be futile, considering the past promises I've done about updating. But I'm actually determined to continue this blog (even if it's pretty obvious no one really cares).

It's the 1st of November (maybe it's still Halloween from where you're reading this. if so, then Happy Halloween, my friend) and I'm back to hopefully make better use of myself and my time. As before, I'm also here to give you a song and maybe a book. With a mellow feel for today, I would give you Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood and Let It Snow by Maureen Johnson, John Green and Lauren Myracle. I wish you all safety and prosperity in the form of change (you'll maybe be able to get some candies).

Cold Feet

How's everyone? Hope you're all feeling well!

If you're wondering why I haven't updated been updating (and I actually think this reason's acceptable) is because I'm joining a competition. Yes. I am actually joining a competition. It's design and programming kind of competition, and I always wanted to learn and work more with coding and programming. And I might not be able to post more often, since I need to study on codings once more (I used to know a little about coding, but that was like five or more years ago).

I've been having rough nights lately. And I've been extremely tired. This morning, I was putting on some sunblock (since I don't want to get a tan) when my mum went up to me and asked what happened. I just looked confused and she made me remove my glasses, telling me that I have some dark sides on my face. Apparently, they were dark circles. I swear, they're almost past my cheekbones. Let this be a lesson for all of you to try and get as much rest as you can.

Now to end this post. Here's All Star by Smash Mouth to get you up and going. Like I said, I've been busy, so I haven't really been able to read new books. But I suggest Inferno by Dan Brown, since it's considered as a classic(?). So, yeah. That's all for now. I'm going to take a shower now. Take care, be well, and please don't play Flappy Bird (it's for your sanity, please). Cheers!

Woah

Two posts in one week? I told you guys I'll update more often! And here I am, on a Saturday afternoon, updating my blog. This needs to be an achievement. How have you all been? Good, I hope.

So lately I've been playing Pokemon again (SoulSilver to be exact). And I honestly still enjoy the game, even if there's not much to do but catch all the Pokemon and train them. I was playing it this morning actually. Just casually having fun when all of a sudden, my game crashed (I use an emulator, because I have no money for a DS, okay). Since the game often crashes, I just brushed it off and decided to restart the game (what I always do whenever my game crashes). When I restarted it, the game indicated that the file I was playing got either corrupted and deleted, and it restarted the whole game. Like wow. I almost collected all of the Pokemon, then it restarts? Please tell me it's normal to get upset over this.

I kind of regret complaining about the game at times now. You see, I have this Clefable and Wigglytuff in the daycare, since I wanted an Igglybuff and Cleffa before. After getting both of them (through the Safari Zone), I got an egg. At first I was just 'Wow, okay, might as well'. It wasn't even half an hour yet when there was another egg. And yeah, I got that one too. It was all fine and stuff until I got like five eggs just from those Pokemon. I mean, come on.

Anyways, I started playing Platinum, and I kind of forgot the events that happened (I haven't played Diamond/Pearl and Platinum for a while), so I'm hoping it'll keep me busy until I can try to get my SoulSilver game back.

Alright, enough of the Pokemon talk. Let me talk to you about school. More specifically, the fact that there are a lot of people who started talking about Valentine's Day. I'm no hater and all, but why do people wait once a year in order to show someone they care, platonically or not? I know this is practically the same excuse I use in every holiday, but I'm just so confused. And honestly, (hopefully I can say this without offending anybody. and if i'm do, i'm sorry), there are some people who take it a little too far. Like they expect someone to do some 'grand, romantic gesture' for them. I mean, okay, I may or may not be a sucker for those, but come on. Why would you expect when you could just do that for someone? When you're expecting, you might just get disappointed. So why not just make someone else happy?

And, okay. I'll just stop myself right there. Yeah, this post isn't really 'interesting' and all. But hey, I'll think of something. For today, here's Harlem by New Politics and I'm reading a few books at the same time,  but here's The Catcher in the Rye by Jerome David Salinger, since I've been planning on reading that one for quite some time. That's all for now. Bye!

Messed Up

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. My laptop decided to be mean and won't connect to the Internet (it would connect to the Internet at school, but it would be so slow at home). I'm currently on my dad's laptop, so I might not be posting for a while.

Another reason why I haven't been posting was because I started school again this week. It was pretty hectic, everyone just wandering around, trying to find where most of the rooms are. And we have this particular schedule. Like if it's Phys Ed, some people need to be at school by 8, while some people need to stay after school for about an hour or so. And I got the afternoon schedule (Monday afternoons), and I'd rather take that than to go to school at 8 and 'do something active' when you get there.

I also got my favourite electives; Visual Arts, Photography and Graphics & Animation. It's honestly great, being able to do more art than usual. Although for Graphics, I want to use Illustrator (we're going to use Flash, Fireworks and Photoshop). I've done some work with Flash and Fireworks, and I've worked with Photoshop for 2 or 3 years, so yeah, I just wanted to try something different.

At school, we have about 6 or more classes that's past a giant oval, which takes about 15 minutes to get there. I'm fine with it, really I am. But the fact that my schedule makes it kind of tiring. So in those classes, I have History, English Lit and sometimes Science. And for some apparent reason, my schedule would be something like 'main building, history, recess, main building, english, science'. Come on. If I have to do this, I might as well not to do Phys Ed (if only).

I think I'll have to post more often. I honestly have a lot of stuff to tell you guys (i know you're out there. you could always comment or something you know), and I should finish up with this post.

But before that, I wanted to thank you guys. Somewhere In Neverland has reached over 1k pageviews recently! (I'm still not quite sure what makes you guys go back to this blog, but yay). And the workout playlist I made? It got more views than my usual posts. Thank you guys so much! I hope I get to continue whatever I'm doing.

Finally, to end this post, here is Young Volcanoes by Fall Out Boy, to get you all pumped up for whatever you guys will be doing. And since the trailer is out now, I would suggest The Fault in Our Stars by John Green so we could all mourn together. I also have a little story concerning The Great Gatsby, but that would have to wait until next post. Bye for now!

Work Out

Just a playlist I use whenever I (attempt) to exercise. A variety of genres (don't blame me). Before you go all 'wanting motivational songs', like I said, this was just the playlist I put together, since all these songs have an upbeat rhythm which makes people actually want to move. So yeah. Enjoy!

Yet Another Week

How is everyone lately? Hope you're all doing well. I haven't been feeling really well. More tired than usual and I just feel weaker. But yeah, that's nothing serious, right?

Anyways, as usual, I haven't done anything 'exciting'. The fact that I stay at home every single day doesn't add any excitement in my already dull days. Although I've been, how do I say this, 'working out'. Yeah. Obviously nothing serious, since this is me we're talking about. But my parents are just telling me to go out and have walks or something, since I've been really weak (they say it's from staying at home for too long, which i obviously denied). So instead of actually going outside, I just pretend to know what I'm doing and 'exercise'.

I actually made a playlist for when I 'work out'. I'll post it maybe in a while or so.

Besides getting weak and all, I've been listening to a lot more songs these days. It's like I was living my life with strange music blasting at my ears (not a good metaphor, but whatever). I've really taken a liking to a lot of groups, like Green Day, Panic! At The Disco, Arctic Monkeys, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, OneRepublic, and a lot of other groups. I mean, I haven't actually obsessed over all of them, but I will eventually (soon).

So that's basically it. Here's Anything by Hedley, since I'm actually listening to that right now. I haven't read anything new, but I recently bought The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (since I haven't actually watched the movie), but yeah. Cheers!

I'm Back

Where have I been, you may ask? Nowhere. To explain my absence, I blame Internet. It's been lagging a lot recently, because of my constant watching of videos on YouTube, apparently. But I now have Internet again!

Nothing really 'interesting' that happened since my last update, actually. I've just been studying and reading. Yeah, okay, call me boring, whatever. And this afternoon, I found out that our local library allows volunteers to help with their transcriptions. My mum said it's good for references, but I'm just honestly bored. I mean, I type every single day, and for sure 98% of what I type isn't useful. So why not make use of my time and actually help? I don't need to leave the house, and it gives me a reason to use my laptop. So it's a win-win.

Well, um, yeah. Honestly, I have nothing new to update. I might be actually posting some stuff next week, but hey, who knows?

For today, here's The Ballad of Mona Lisa by Panic! at the Disco. And currently, I'm reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, since I've been wanting to read it for a while and the movie's out. I'm one of those people who refuse to watch the movie until they've read the book. Yeah, okay. Cheers!

Cheers

First post of 2014. A late one too. But it's still a post, so oh well.

Hey guys! So. 2014. I'm not really feeling it. Anybody? No?

A reason why I haven't posted anything for a while? Well, I've been on my Tumblr more often, and since new year's eve, I've been gaining a lot of followers lately. I mean, I'm not Tumblr famous, but hey, it's a start. And I've been talking to some people too (which is practically the best thing on Tumblr). If you're a follower and you're reading this right now, thank you so much. If not, then maybe you could go over and check out my blog? It still helps.

Another thing that's come to my notice is that I've reached over 1k page views here. Thank you guys so much! I'm not really sure what's I'm doing that's making you guys check out my blog and all, but hopefully I'll keep doing it. Unless you guys are being paid. Still though, thanks.

I guess that's it for now. Nothing actually interesting. I'll be starting school and February, and I've been studying. Anyways, here's Do I Wanna Know? by the Arctic Monkeys. Amazing song, amazing video. So currently, I'm reading The Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling. Enjoy the start of your year with a smile, and I'll post again soon. Bye!
